These collets, considered ‘precision-fitted collets’, are made from 4140 steel for high wear resistance and are machined to 0.001″ tolerances. These collets, by IDC Woodcraft, ensure your CNC router bits run exceptionally true and significantly reduce the opportunity for bit slipping.
Using ANSI industry standards, IDC Woodcraft ensures that these collets are manufactured to machining-level tolerances for an extremely precise match-up between 1/2″ collets and 1/8″ or 1/4″ shank router bits, virtually eliminating ‘tool runout’.
